About Us

Welcome to Fluvanna County Rescue Squad Inc.

The Mission of Fluvanna County Volunteer Rescue Squad is to provide beautiful Fluvanna County and its citizens with responsive, effective emergency services, using State-of-the-Art equipment, progressive standards of care and operations, and over 40 dedicated volunteers who live in the communities in which they serve, 365 days of the year

The Fluvanna County Volunteer Rescue Squad provides service 365 days of the year to the citizens of Fluvanna County during the weekdays (1800-0600), weekends (0600-0600), and now are working with Medic V to staff 7 days a week 0600-1800. There are over 25 certified EMS personnel who have completed the U.S. DOT requirements for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. They operate in 12 hour shifts, with rotating weekend shifts. The Fluvanna County Volunteer Rescue Squad is an Accredited Advanced Life Support Agency with VAVRS and OEMS. They operate under the Thomas Jefferson EMS Council (TJEMS), and provide excellent and progressively advancing patient care.
Fluvanna County Volunteer Rescue Squad is an umbrella organization which oversees and performs the official business of the three (3) primary divisions of the organization. Each of these divisions (Palmyra, Fork Union & Kents Store) provides residents of our community with EMS service by practicing clinical excellence with superb response time performance while maintaining its commitment to economic efficiency and minimal tax subsidization. All Organization-wide decisions are made through the Board of Directors.
